این جوایز هر سال در ۲۴ بخش به کارهای انیمیشن، تلویزیونی، سینمایی، تبلیغات و بازیهای ویدئویی داده می شود. VES یکی از معتبر ترین جوایز در بخش فنی است که فیلم های گوناگون از تمامی کشور ها در آن به رقابت می پردازند. امسال فیلم سینمایی The Lion King به کارگردانی Jon Favreau توانست افتخار برترین جلو های ویژه را از این انجمن دریافت نماید.
از دیگر برندگان این جشنواره می توان به The Irishman اشاره کرد که جایزه دومین جلو های ویژه در یک فیلم رئال را برنده شد.
در بخش انیمیشن Missing Link که توسط استودیو لایکا ساخته شده است توانست جایزه جلو های ویزه در یک فیلم انیمیشن را کسب نماید.
سریال The Mandalorian که توسط شبکه دیزنی پلاس پخش می شود و اتفاقات آن در دنیای فیلم های جنگ ستارگان اتفاق می افتد برای جلو های بصری قسمت “The Child” موفق به دریافت جایزه فراواقعی ترین قسمت یک سریال شد.دومین سریالی که در این بخش موفق به دریافت جایزه شد سریال Chernobyl برای قسمت “1:23:45” بود.
